In my over 40 years of living in Seattle, I have sold five residences in four different neighborhoods. It’s been quite an education. In 2013, we met Marilyn Smith when we were considering selling our family home in Arboretum Heights. She came highly recommended, and she contributed a number of creative ideas on how to maximize the sale. With some elbow grease and attention to detail, the house was listed and sold promptly. We closed the transaction in a Notary office in the Bahamas where we were on an extended vacation. Marilyn handled a number of construction-related issues that arose in the house inspection, and as the daughter of a contractor, got the work done efficiently and cost effective.
Seven years later, we prepared to sell my wife’s house that had been rented for a few years after we moved back to the East Coast. There was no question who we would use to represent us as our listing broker: Marilyn Smith. This time the COVID pandemic disrupted our plans and forced us to paint and upgrade the house, stage and correct a number of issues from our house inspection, and then move a household full of goods remotely. So much effort goes into the preparation for a successful sale and Marilyn handled it all. In the middle of the pandemic of 2020, the house sold in a week with a full price offer. We couldn’t be more pleased with Marilyn’s work.
